To bring white wine chilled to a gathering?

la_konda asked:

I am going to a get together. The host drinks white wine that must be chilled when you drink it. Her hubby drinks room temp red wine. I have a bottle of each to bring to them. Do I chilled the white wine before I bring it?

    Nope (do that for picnics).
Chill it with ice when you get there.

Throw it in the fridge before you get there, once you arrive they should have an iced down cooler somewhere
(not to mention this means you get to drink half the bottle, score!)

Yes you should cool the white wine so that the host and guests can enjoy it early in the evening.

Yes, chill it ahead of time. Then insulate it in some way. You could wrap it in newspapers for the trip to the party.
