The taste, of course, would be different, but that&#039;s not necessarily a bad thing. Instead of plain white vinegar, you might try your apple cider vinegar, or malt vinegar, as a substitute (if you have those things available). They would add a slightly different taste, but I don&#039;t think it would be unpleasant.</description>

They have a different taste, but overall they do work the same.  It&#039;s probably okay in your chicken dish if it&#039;s like a marinade.  I&#039;ve switched them in salad dressings and I can taste the difference, but they&#039;re both good.  Probably not worth a special trip to the grocery store!</description>
